Mr. Manuel Belmonte: Director

Manuel, Joyce, Mathieu and Julia Belmonte moved to Summerland in 1999. The Belmonte family joined Glenfir School in 2004. They believe that a school is not just bricks and mortar, but rather a community of caring which works together to develop our children to their highest potential. It is into this community, with its pillars of achievement, integrity and respect, that they entrust the education of their children.  They have seen the growth in their children and feel strongly committed to this school's community.

Mr. Belmonte's background is in sport. He has worked at the community, university, provincial, national and international levels, both as staff and volunteer. He hopes to bring some of the lessons learned to the Glenfir Board. Mr. Belmonte believes that serving as a board member allows him to do his part in steering the course of the school through good governance.  This is achieved through active listening and policy setting.
