Mrs. C. Colbeck:  B.Ed., ECE Diploma
Blended Grade 1 & 2

Mrs. Colbeck graduated from the University of Alberta with an Early Childhood major and minors in Fine Arts and Language Arts. She is an Alberta native who grew up on a farm west of Wetaskiwin. She has spent the better part of twenty years teaching in private and public schools across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Recently she has returned from teaching at an International School in Papua New Guinea where she taught a three/four split. She has travelled to many different places in the world as she is fervent to experience and learn about new cultures.

Mrs. Colbeck also has a passion for gardening, pottery, biking and writing. While in PNG she completed a children's book to educate children about AIDS. Several years ago she and a few colleagues were invited to Metaboni, Kenya where they developed and taught a high school AIDS curriculum which they presented to approximately fifty teachers, mostly from Kenya. Presently she is working on her Prairie horticulture certificate through Olds College. Back country hiking, squash and cross country skiing are other personal interests. Mrs. Colbeck is delighted to join the team at Glenfir and is excited to be working with the students, parents and staff there.
