Mr. Mark Daniels: Director
Mark R. Daniels was born in Vancouver. There he graduated from UBC (B. Com.) and The Johns Hopkins University (Ph.D.). He taught at McGill for a short time and then at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Then he returned to Canada some years to later to work with the federal government in Ottawa where Mr. Daniels served in a variety of jobs, including Deputy Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs. He left the government to head to a public affairs consulting firm and later moved on to be President of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association, a position from which he stepped down after 15 years in 2003. Mark, his wife Cindy, and their youngest, moved to Summerland in 2004. Part of the reason in their choice of communities in which to live was The Glenfir School.
