Golf
Students in grades seven through twelve have the opportunity to take Golf three days a week through their special activity blocks and students in grades 4 through 6 twice a week. The Golf Program consists of learning the fundamentals of the golf swing, which includes - the full swing, chipping, putting, sand play, and golf course etiquette. These fundamentals will be taught in a fun filled environment and will have the student prepared to take on any golf course with confidence and the ability to enjoy this great game.

The Summerland Golf and Country Club has constructed a new state of the art practice facility, which will provide an excellent stage for students to learn and continue to visit to hone their skills. The addition of this facility allows us to keep our golf instruction in Summerland for better convenience to the students and better maximize the time allotted to the instruction.

Tyrel Babkirk is the Director of Golf / Head Professional for the Summerland Golf and Country Club and the instructor of Glenfir's golf program. He has been a golf professional for 11 years and has worked at the Summerland Golf Club for three years prior to his new appointment to handle the clubs golf operations.
